Students in the 5th Grade will focus on developing a high level of creativity and expression through music performance and composition.  These skills will be learned and developed through a highly collaborative group setting.  The semester will have a heavy emphasis on building a band.  Smaller and more versatile than the guitar at the elementary school level, the ukulele will be the primary instrument for most 5th Grade students, however based on instrument availability some students may elect to play piano, guitar or bass.  Band Students will play their band instruments.
